The Xiaomi Redmi note 7 Specification are good for a phone costing about Rs. 10000. It features a glass front and back. There is protection with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on both sides. The display is 6.3 inches LCD display which has pretty good colors and brightness levels. The screen resolution is 1080X2340 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 with a pixel density of 409 PPI.
The phone gives a pretty good feel for a phone of this budget. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 AIE Processor which is suitable for performance of apps and gaming. The operating system is Android Pie 9.0 which is pretty good. The Xiaomi Redmi has a waterdrop notch and a hybrid SIM slot. The Redmi note 7 specification are good for a budget phone. You can use it as a dual SIM phone or expand storage up to 256GB.
The 4000 mAh battery of Redmi Note 7 will most probably last a single day with a Single charge. On top of that there is support for fast charging but you have to buy the charger separately as it does not come bundled in the box.
The rear 12 megapixel of the Xiaomi Redmi note 7 takes ok daylight shots. However the low-light performance of the camera is not that satisfying. Also, the same is with video recording. But you get pretty decent Selfie camera which takes good pictures.
There are two variants of Xiaomi redmi note 7, one is 3GB RAM with 32GB storage and the other is 4GB RAM with 64GB storage which comes at a price tag of about Rs. 11,999. The storage can be expanded up to 256GB by using a memory card. The phone has pretty good built. The Gorilla glass on front and back make the phone quite durable. The dot drop notch and minimal bezels on the three sides and a good amount of chin makes the phone look good.
The notch on the front houses the 13 megapixel AI based selfie camera. On clicking a few selfies it was found that these were pretty good. But some more work could have been done when considering the Selfie camera. The phone has a dual camera setup on the rear 12MP+2MP along with LED flash. The camera is not 48 MP as mentioned in many other reviews of the same phone. The outdoor and indoor images are well and good enough when it comes to a Rs. 10000 phone. The rear camera can record full HD videos at 30 FPS speed.
The pictures clicked by the rear camera are pretty good with adequate details and colors in low light conditions. The night mode of the camera does a good job in capturing details which is better than the regular mode of the camera. There is also a night mode for low light images. This mode does a good job. There is limited noise and the lampshades and sky seem to be taken properly by the camera.
There is a 3.5 mm headphone jack along with an IR blaster to use your phone as a remote for home appliances. A notification LED is available at the bottom. You can unlock your phone with a fingerprint sensor, there is also face unlocking using the face unlocking. Both the methods work well. The charging is through a Type C cable which is upside.
Now let’s review the performance of the phone. The phone does not hang when it comes to normal use. The phone is powered by a Snapdragon 660 AIE chipset along with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. The redmi note 7 works pretty well when using Social media or low graphics games. The phone runs of MIUI 10 based on Android pie, but there are a lot of MIUI bloatware.
There are lot of connectivity option in the device such as 4G with VoLTE, Hotspot, WiFi, USB type-C, Bluetooth and more.
